Alone in the garden to His Father He prayed
His disciples asleep under trees where they laid
My Father in heaven, please take this cup away
No Father, let it be done to me as you say
The soldiers approach, his disciples in fear
Peter draws his sword and severs ones ear
Jesus surrenders without a fight
He is taken away in the dark of the night
As the cock crows, Peter begins to cry
Told by Jesus three times he would deny
Convicted and accused of blasphemy
Pilate is pressured and gives a decree
In a courtyard filled with a crowd
They cursed at him so load.
Pilate is seated upon his throne
Jesus stands there all alone
A murderer is spared and set free
The carpenters make a cross from a tree
His flesh was beaten from his bones
From the shocking pain he moans
Upon his head is trust a thorn woven crown
His precious blood drips to the ground
Pilate washes his hands of the whole affair
Our Lord knew fully his time was near
He lifted his cross filled with sin it weighed
With every step taken to his Father he prayed
Falling three times and overwhelmed with pain
My Father in heaven let this not be in vain
Thrown upon the cross he gazed up to heaven
He felt so alone with this cross he was given
Nailed and lifted his eyes looked down
For his garments the lots rolled across the ground
His mother’s heart broken and tears in her eyes
The dark clouds gather above in the sky
Father, forgive them for they know not what they do
His head fell limp and his mission was through
Lightning, thunder, and rain from the sky
No longer any doubt for our sins he was to die
The Fathers merciful love extending to everyone
Giving of Himself; giving of His Son.

Our destiny Lord is to be home with You
Absorbed in love and filled with Your grace
Held in Your arms and beholding Your face
A timeless event when we close our eyes
Seeing our God, loving, powerful, and wise
Such joy no words could ever describe
For all eternity our souls shall be truly alive
Free from vise and the sins weighing us down
When at last we shall wear our heavenly crown
Our destiny when Your love will be ever present
Family and friends reunited in a glorious way
In the presence of Your Glory and Divinity
All the tears in our eyes shall be wiped away
Beholding the designer of the master plan
He who left His footprints in the sand
Into eternity Angels will carry us home
There never again will we be sad or alone
The colorful hands of the human race
Shall joined totally in love not disgrace
A glorious time when our journey is through
Our destiny Lord is safely home with You

Lord Jesus, thank you for darkness in our lives
Only then shall we become children of the light
For the blessing of heartache and sorrow
So one day shall be overwhelmed with joy
Doubt, so we may come to believe
Weakness, so we become strong
When everything seems to be going so wrong
Loneliness, so we would extend our love
Brokenness so we would learn how to mend
Storms, so we would enjoy the calm
Betrayal, so we would be forgiving
In a troubled world that is so unforgiving
Sickness, so we would enjoy our health
Confusion, so we would learn to reason
Coldness, so we would enjoy sharing warmth
Hunger, so we would feed those in need
Failure, so we would endure and succeed
Lord Jesus, thank you for the struggles in our lives
Blessed are we to deal with our earthly strife
Infinite Wisdom has placed them there
So we will search, find, and not despair, Amen.

I can give you any pleasure that you so desire
Make you burn with lust, I know something about fire
I can take you many places, you have never been
Just call it being happy, never think to call it sin
