O God, I will sing a new song to you; with a ten-stringed lyre I will chant your praise, (Ps 144:9)
Sing to him a new song; pluck the strings skillfully, with shouts of gladness, (Ps 33:3)

The Book of Psalms has many verses describing the singing of praises to our God. He put a new song into my mouth, a hymn to our God. (Ps 40:4) The times that we are living in today, in the year of 2008, the world is crying out for a new song. I believe that the Lord is asking us to sing His praises by the way we are conducting our lives. Reciting the Psalms and singing to God are wonderful things to do, but we must take it to the next level by our example to those around us on a daily basis. Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints. (Ps 149:1) Yes, in the assembly of His saints, and also in the assembly of all people; we are all called to be saints. Living out our duties as children of God, we must act as shepherds as we make sure that none of His children our lost. Today is the day of salvation,
let us rejoice and be glad by proclaiming that the Lord God is indeed worthy of praise and glory.
Sing to the "LORD" a new song and his praise from the end of the earth. (Isaiah 42:10) By doing so we truly are singing a fresh new song to the Lord. Amen!

My Lord, and my God, Alpha and Omega
The heavens are the works of your hands
And so too is the foundation of the world
In you the heavens and earth had their beginning
You formed man from the dust of the earth
In your image and likeness, male, and female
Eternal Father, the Word, made flesh
The beginning of all wisdom and knowledge
Create in us dear Lord, hearts anew
Hearts that turn from evil and trust in you
Word made flesh, abide in our souls
That we shall forever abide in you
The evil one shall have no dominion over us
For he is the father of lies from the start
And in him there is no truth to be found
You alone are the Way, the Truth, and the Life
The fountain of life where we are refreshed
Have mercy on our weaknesses and sinfulness
May we this day be given the grace to start anew
To cleans ourselves from all unrighteousness
So we too may move forward in faith, hope, and trust
And become beacons of light in a world of darkness
